The OPUS Advantage is a five filter, six stage system featuring dual carbon (granulated and carbon block), dual one micron (sediment and carbon block), KDF and fluoride filtration. The OPUS Advantage system removes all contaminants, leaving calcium and magnesium in solution for a great tasting healthful mineral water.

Designed to be a maintenance free drinking water system with low operating costs, the Advantage features dual carbon (granulated activated carbon and carbon block) filtration, dual 1 micron filtration, and specific filters designed to remove sediment, rust, silt, chlorine, fluoride, lead, cysts, heavy metals and other toxic compounds. The system is contained in a reasonably sized unit consisting of three vertical 10” filter housings, with two horizontally mounted filters mounted on top of the unit.

Well engineered filtration systems are designed to either adsorb or absorb contaminants, and not allow the media in the filter, or contaminants retained by the filter to reach subsequent filters, or the final destination, your drinking glass. By using progressively finer (smaller micron) filter components and by ensuring that any material that escapes from one filter will be absorbed or eliminated by the next filter in the design, the purest, cleanest, best tasting water is produced.

As with all Opus Healthy Water Systems, the Advantage comes complete with everything required for installation, including tubing, filter wrench, saddle valve, and lead free long reach faucet. The addition of an annual filter kit at the time of purchase is recommended, as that will provide two years of maintenance free service. All OPUS Healthy Water Systems include a limited five year warranty to the original owner if filters are changed at the regularly prescribed intervals.

Stage 1: 5 Micron Dirt/Rust/Sediment Filter – Horizontally Mounted Inline

This filter is designed to remove dirt, rust, sediment, and other contaminants and to prevent these contaminants from affecting the efficiency of the fluoride, KDF Media, and granulated activated carbon filters. In normal use replace every 6-12 months. If the water flow at the faucet drops significantly it is time to replace this filter.

Stage 2: Fluoride Filtration

Fine mesh activated alumina provides effective removal of fluoride and arsenic. Rated at 10,000 gallons, replace this filter every two years under normal household use.

Stage 3 and 4: 2.5 Pounds KDF Media, 1 pound Granulated Activated Carbon (GAC)

KDF Media (Kinetic Degradation Fluxion) is a zinc/copper media that removes chlorine, iron, hydrogen sulfide, nitrates, nitrites, arsenic, cadmium, chromium, mercury, manganese, nickel, lead, trichloroethane, lindane, chloroform, and fluoride. When combined with granulated activated carbon, a synergistic effect is produced that is greater than either material alone. Replace this filter every two years under normal household use.

Most water filter manufacturers that include KDF Media in their filter design use ½ pound of media. The quantity of KDF media used in the Advantage (2.5 pounds) is the highest amount available in a 10” water filter design, and should provide effective contaminant removal for a large family for over two years. The KDF/GAC filter is placed after the fluoride filter to ensure that any particles or fines from the alumina filter will be absorbed by the KDF/Carbon filter.

Stage 5: 1 Micron Pleated Filter

The purpose of the 1 Micron pleated filter is to ensure that no particles from Stage 2 (fluoride filter) or Stage 3&4 (KDF/granulated activated carbon) can reach the final 1 micron carbon block lead cyst polishing filter (Stage 6). The installation process includes flushing the activated alumina and KDF/GAC filters prior to the installation of this filter. Replace this filter every year, with Stage 1 and Stage 6.

Stage 6: 1 Micron Carbon Block – Omnipure, Horizontally Mounted Inline

This filter puts a final polish to the water and ensures it is not only contaminant free, but also crystal clear amd great tasting. This final filter is superior to the majority of standalone filter systems on the market. We recommend replacing this filter every year.

OPUS ADVANTAGE FILTER REPLACEMENT COSTS:

Stage 1 – 5 Micron Dirt/Rust/Sediment Omnipure Filter – $19.99 (Horizontally Mounted Inline Filter). Replace every year, or more often if pressure drops.

Economical system designed for well water, lake water, or any water that is microbiologically unsafe, utilizing sediment, carbon block and one micron filtration combined with UVGI (ultraviolet) germicidal sterilization.

The CottagePure is a compact four stage drinking water purification system designed for well water, lake water, or water that is not treated by a municipal water treatment plant that uses chlorine to kill microorganisms, although this unit will remove chlorine. The CottagePure is NOT a whole house (point of entry) system. It is a point of use drinking water system.

The CottagePure is a unique, custom design, which includes 4 filtering stages combined in a compact three stage housing. This unit is a complete system including all the components required for a professional installation and sufficient extra filters that should provide one to two years of service before additional filters are required. This unit produces great tasting, contaminant and microorganism free drinking water. The CottagePure will destroy over 99% of bacteria and viruses, purifying water without the use of harmful chemicals.

The CottagePure System installs under the sink and comes with a lead free long reach chrome faucet and all the necessary installation hardware. The CottagePure includes 2 advanced filters with four discreet filter technologies, housed in a compact dual 10” under counter housing, with a horizontally mounted, UV-C Sterilization filter. AC Power is required. The individual components included in the five stage design include:

Stage 1: 5 Micron Dirt/Rust/Sediment Filter (3 extra filters are included)
Stage 2 & 3: Advanced 2 in 1, 2-stage carbon block filter including (I) Spun Fiber for Sediment Removal, (II) Hard Carbon Block for removal of metals, lead, chlorine, and pesticides down to one micron
Stage 4: UV-C Sterilization Filter, with AC Adapter

The CottagePure system removes particulate matter to 1 micron.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF OPUS COTTAGEPURE SYSTEM:

FILTER NUMBER 1: (Stage 1)

Stage 1: 5 micron dirt, rust, and sediment filter, removes particles that are 5 microns or larger. 5 micron particles are so small they are invisible to the naked eye, however over 95% of particulate matter found in well and lake water (as well as municipal water supplies) is 5 microns or larger in size. Particulate matter smaller than 5 micron will be captured by the second (one micron) filter.

FILTER NUMBER 2: (Stage 2 & 3)

Located in the right 10” vertical housing, the 3-in-1 (3 stages in one filter component) filter provides the following features:

STAGE 2: Spun fiber for sediment removal down to 1 micron.

STAGE 3: Carbon block that removes chlorine, metals (including heavy metals), lead, and pesticides which may enter ground water that is found in wells as a result of the use of pesticides in farming. This is not a standard carbon filter, which would only be effective for chlorine, but a sophisticated, advanced multi purpose filter design.

FILTER NUMBER 3: (STAGE 4)

Stage 4: Germicidal UV-C Lamp (replace after 12 months of use). Horizontally mounted on the top of the dual filter housing, the UV-C Germicidal light kills bacteria, viruses, mold, algae, yeast, cysts (including cryptosporidium and giardia), some volatile organic compounds and other biological contaminants. Unlike the chlorine that is used in municipal water supplies to kill microorganisms, UV-C does not introduce any potentially poisonous components into your drinking water or adversely affect the taste or smell of drinking water.

The CottagePure is designed to remove contaminants, kill microorganisms, and produce great tasting water, and unlike Reverse Osmosis (RO) and distillation, this system leaves dissolved minerals, including calcium and magnesium in solution, creating a balanced, great tasting mineral water, with no affect on the pH (alkalinity) of the water.

Designed to last a lifetime, the CottagePure includes four extra filters, all required fittings and tubing, long reach faucet and filter wrench. While we cannot guarantee how long these filters will last, as the level of contaminants can vary from one water source to another, we estimate that this system with the included filters should last a minimum of one year before additional filters are required. The Ultraviolet Lamp should be replaced annually, however if you only visit your cottage during the summer months, it can last up to four years. Aviva recommends purchasing a complete CottagePure Filter Kit annually, which would include four 5 Micron filters, 2 1 Micron 2 Stage Filters, and a replacement UV-C Lamp.

The CottagePure requires connection to an AC electrical outlet to power the germicidal UV-C sterilization component.

Included Components:

• Dual 10” Filter Housing, with horizontally mounted UV Filter
• 4 (four) 5 Micron Dirt/Rust/Sediment Filters (3 replacement filters)
• 2 (two) 1 Micron 2 Stage filters (1 replacement filter)

The PURE world’s finest water filtration system. The PURE is a seven filter, eight stage system featuring dual carbon (granulated and carbon block), dual one micron (sediment and carbon block), KDF Media, fluoride filtration, .2 micron ultrafiltration that removes 99% of bacteria and viruses, and the Bioceramic alkalizing antioxidant filter.

Eight Stage Alkalizing, Antibacterial, Antioxidant Ultra-Purification System. The PURE is the most advanced purification, alkalizing, antibacterial and antioxidant water system available.

Stage 1: 5 Micron Dirt/Rust/Sediment Omnipure Filter – Horizontally Mounted Inline

This filter is designed to remove dirt, rust, sediment, and other contaminants and to prevent these contaminants and materials from adversely affecting the efficiency of the fluoride, KDF Media, and granulated activated carbon filters. In normal use replace every 6-12 months.

Stage 2: Fluoride Filtration

Activated alumina provides effective removal of fluoride and arsenic. Under normal use, we recommend replacing this filter after 2 years of use.

Stage 3 and 4: 2.5 Pounds KDF Media, 1 pound Granulated Activated Carbon (GAC)

KDF Media (Kinetic Degradation Fluxion) is a zinc/copper media that removes chlorine, iron, hydrogen sulfide, nitrates, nitrites, arsenic, cadmium, chromium, mercury, manganese, nickel, lead, trichloroethane, lindane, chloroform, fluoride and heavy metals. When combined with activated carbon, a synergistic effect is produced that is greater than either material alone.

Most water filter manufacturers that include KDF Media use ½ pound of media, which should provide effective removal of contaminants in most homes for one to two years. The quantity of KDF media used in the Opus PURE (2.5 pounds) is the highest amount available in a 10” water filter design, and should provide effective contaminant removal for a large family for over two years. The KDF/GAC filter is placed after the fluoride filter to ensure that any particles or fines from the fluoride filter will be absorbed by the KDF/Carbon filter.

Stage 5: 1 Micron Pleated Filter

The purpose of the 1 Micron filter in Stage 5 is to ensure that no particles from the Stage 2 (fluoride) or Stage 3 & 4 KDF/GAC) can reach the final 1 micron carbon block filter (Stage 6). The installation process includes flushing the fluoride and KDF/GAC filters prior to the installation of this filter. Replace this filter every year with with Stage 1, Stage 6 and Stage 7.

Stage 6: – .2 Micron Ultra Filter – Horizontally Mounted Inline Filter

This stage is the revolutionary .2 Micron Ultra Filtration unit. Ultra Filtration uses membrane technology to reject contaminants as small as .01 microns, however we conservatively rate the UF filter in our system at .2 microns and larger. Mounted horizontally and connected to the 1 Micron Carbon block Stage 7 filter, this filter effectively removes bacteria, pathogens, high molecular weight dissolved solids and other water contaminants while allowing healthy minerals and ions through

Stage 7: 1 Micron Carbon Block Taste and Odor – Horizontally Mounted Inline

This filter ensures your drinking water is not only contaminant free, but also crystal clear and great tasting. This filter is superior to many popular standalone water filtration systems. We recommend replacing this filter every year. Stage 7 ensures that the water entering the Stage 8 Bioceramic, Alkaline, Antioxidant Energizing Filter is pure and free of contaminants, and ready to be transformed into high antioxidant, alkaline, energizing, healing water.

STAGE 8: Bioceramic Water Amplification Filter – Horizontally Mounted Inline
Alkalizing, Antioxidant, Energizing, Healing Filter

The Bioceramic water amplification filter adds additional ionic magnesium, calcium and potassium, lowers the ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential), increases the concentration of hydrogen and oxygen ions, increases alkalinity, reduces the cluster size, and transforms purified drinking water into healing, antioxidant, alkaline water.

Using bioceramics, alkalizing minerals (magnesium, calcium and potassium), and other unique minerals the Opus Bioceramic water amplification filter transforms water purified by the previous seven stages into health giving antioxidant, oxygenated, alkalizing, health promoting drinking water. Rated life: 7,000 litres, or 1850 gallons, which is equivalent to over 5 gallons per day, or two years if you drink 2 ½ gallons per day.

In addition to the features of the Advantage, the Alkaplus includes the Bioceramic water amplification filter which adds healthful minerals, lowers the ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential), and adds active negative hydrogen ions which scavenge free radicals, producing water that is superior to water produced by expensive electric “micro-water” ionizers for a fraction of the cost . The filtration systems integrated into most electric micro-water ionizing systems include one or two filters that primarily remove chlorine. Electric ionizing systems (Jupiter, Regency, Regency II, Regenesis, Teknos, Tyent, KYK Harmony, Enagic, etc.) require the purchase of overpriced proprietary filters that do not remove contaminants like fluoride and heavy metals.

Most manufacturers that include KDF Media use ½ pound of media which should provide effective removal of contaminants in most homes for two years. The quantity of KDF media used in the AlkaPlus (2.5 pounds) is the highest amount available in a 10” water filter design, and should provide effective contaminant removal for a large family for over two years. The KDF/GAC filter is placed after the fluoride filter to ensure that any particles or fines from the fluoride filter will be absorbed by the KDF/Carbon filter.

Stage 5: 1 Micron Pleated Filter

The 1 Micron pleated filter in Stage 5 ensures that no particles from the Stage 2 (fluoride filter) or Stage 3 & 4 KDF/GAC) reach the final 1 micron Omnipure carbon block inline filter (Stage 6). The installation process includes flushing the fluoride and KDF/GAC filters prior to the installation of this filter. Replace this filter every year with Stage 1 and 6.

Stage 6: 1 Micron Carbon Block Taste and Odor Filter – Horizontally Mounted Inline

This filter puts a final polish to the water and ensures it is not only contaminant free, but also crystal clear amd great tasting. This filter is superior to many popular standalone water filtration systems. Stage 6 ensures that water entering the Stage 7 Bioceramic inline filter is pure, contaminant free and ready to be transformed into high antioxidant, alkaline, energizing, healing water.

STAGE 7: Opus Bioceramic Water Amplification Filter – Horizontally Mounted Inline
Alkalizing, Antioxidant, Energizing, Health Enhancing Filter.

Using bioceramics, alkalizing minerals (magnesium, calcium and potassium), and other unique natural minerals, the Opus Bioceramic water amplification filter transforms water purified by the previous six stages into health giving antioxidant, oxygenated, alkalizing, health promoting drinking water. Rated life: 7,000 litres, or 1850 gallons, which will provide one year of 5 gallon per day use (80 glasses per day), or 2 years if you use 2 ½ gallons per day (40 glasses per day).

The Alkaplus has all the features of the Advantage with the following additional features:

• Increased pH, creating more alkaline drinking water. Alkaline liquids help flush acidic metabolites and toxins at the cellular level, while increasing the body’s alkalinity.
• Addition of healthful ionic minerals, including magnesium, calcium, and potassium.
• Increase in oxygen. Ionized water can deliver twice as much oxygen to your cells as tap or bottled water. Dr. Otto Warburg won the Nobel Prize for research indicating that cancer cannot survive in the presence of oxygen, and that cancer cells are anaerobic.
• Decrease in ORP (Oxidation Reduction Potential). A lower ORP indicates that the
water can scavenge free radicals, acting as a powerful antioxidant.
• Antioxidant function scavenges oxygen free radicals (radical oxygen species), and may help reduce the risk of degenerative diseases including cancer, diabetes, and heart disease.
• Vitamin C – Adds to the antioxidant functionality of the filter.
7. Tourmaline – Far Infrared Ceramic Ball – Produces negative hydrogen (hydroxyl) ions and creates a smaller water cluster size (reclusters the water molecule).
• Smaller Water Clusters (51.497 Hz) hydrate the body up to 3 times more effectively than normal water, while helping to increase the absorption of nutrients and minerals.

The Opus AlkaPlus System utilizes state of the art technologies to make this system the finest water filtration, purification, and health promoting water energizing system available.

The Ultrapure is a six filter, seven stage system featuring dual carbon (granulated and carbon block), dual one micron (sediment and carbon block), KDF media, fluoride filtration and .2 Micron Ultra Filtration that filters 99% of bacteria, purifying water without the use of harmful chemicals. Like all OPUS water systems, the Ultrapure leaves calcium and magnesium in solution for a great tasting healthful water.

The Opus Ultrapure adds .2 micron ultra filtration technology, effective in the removal of bacteria, pathogens, high molecular weight dissolved solids. Contaminants and bacteria are removed to an extremely high level, yet healthful minerals are retained. Compared to RO systems, minerals are retained, and there is no danger of bacterial, fungal, or mold contamination, as there is no TFC membrane, holding tank, or flexible bladder.

KDF Media (Kinetic Degradation Fluxion) is a blend of zinc/copper media that safely removes chlorine, iron, hydrogen sulfide, nitrates, nitrites, arsenic, cadmium, chromium, mercury, manganese, nickel, lead, trichloroethane, lindane, chloroform, and fluoride. When combined with granulated activated carbon, a synergistic effect is produced that is greater than either material alone. Replace this filter every two years with normal household use.

Most water filter manufacturers that include KDF Media in their filter design use ½ pound of media. The quantity of KDF media used in the UltraPure (2.5 pounds) is the highest amount available in a 10” water filter design, and should provide effective contaminant removal for a large family for over two years. The KDF/GAC filter is placed after the fluoride filter to ensure that any particles or fines from the fluoride filter will be absorbed by the KDF/Carbon filter.

Stage 5: 1 Micron Pleated Filter

The purpose of the 1 Micron pleated filter is to ensure that no particles from Stage 2 (fluoride filter) or Stage 3&4 KDF/granulated activated carbon) can reach the final 1 micron carbon block lead cyst polishing filter (Stage 6).

The installation process includes flushing the fluoride and KDF/GAC filters (Stage 2, 3 and 4) prior to the installation of this filter. Replace this filter every year, with Stage 1 and Stage 6.

Stage 6: – .2 Micron Ultra Filter – Horizontally Mounted Inline

Stage 6 is the revolutionary .2 Micron Ultra Filtration inline unit. Ultra Filtration uses membrane technology to reject contaminants as small as .01 microns, however we conservatively rate the UF filter in our system at .2 microns and larger. Mounted horizontally and connected to the 1 Micron Carbon block final stage, this filter effectively removes bacteria, pathogens, high molecular weight dissolved solids and other water contaminants of concern while allowing healthy minerals and ions through.

Stage 7: 1 Micron Carbon Block Taste and Odor – Horizontally Mounted Inline

The Stage 7 filter is superior to most home water filtration systems, and is used to put a final finishing polish on the water, providing the ultimate in filtered, purified water. This unit is connected with plastic clips to the 5 micron Omnipure horizontally mounted inline sediment filter and the .2 Micron Ultra Filtration inline filter. The 3 Foot Blue Plastic ¼ ID Tubing is attached to the output of stage 7, and then to the supplied faucet. Replace this filter every year. THIS HORIZONTAL FILTER IS LABELED STAGE 7, OUTPUT.

The Opus Ultrapure utilizes state of the art technologies to make this system one of the finest water filtration and purification systems available.
